Welcoming a puppy into your home is an exciting time, but it can also be a little overwhelming. If you’ve recently brought a new pup into your life, you’ll know how much support they need – especially in those early weeks. Our puppy visit service is designed to give your young dog the gentle care, attention, and structured interaction they need when you can’t be there.
At Finchley Dog Walker, I offer personalised one-to-one puppy visits across Finchley and the surrounding areas. These are not rushed or tick-box visits – each session is calm, reassuring, and designed to fit your puppy’s stage of development.
What’s included in a puppy visit?
Every puppy is different, so I tailor each visit to suit their age, breed, personality, and training goals. Visits typically last 20 to 30 minutes and can include:
- A chance for your puppy to go to the toilet in a safe, calm environment
- Gentle socialisation with someone outside your household
- Support with basic training, such as sit, stay, and recall, using positive reinforcement
- Mental stimulation through calm enrichment games and scent work
- Feeding (if required) and fresh water top-up
- Cleaning up any accidents and ensuring your puppy is settled before I leave
My approach is always calm, positive, and welfare-focused, helping to prevent issues like separation anxiety, fear of being alone, or overexcitement around visitors.
Why choose Finchley Dog Walker?
With years of experience working with nervous and rescue dogs, I understand how important it is to build trust from the start. I work at your puppy’s pace, never rushing interactions or overwhelming them. I don’t use crates, harsh corrections, or forced socialisation – just kind, thoughtful support when they need it most.
You’ll receive updates after each visit, so you know how your puppy is getting on. I’m also happy to work alongside any training plans you’re following, and I can help reinforce good habits while you’re at work or out for the day.
When are puppy visits available?
Puppy visits are available Monday to Friday in Finchley and nearby areas. If your schedule changes or you need extra support during the early weeks, I’m happy to be flexible where possible. Visits can be booked as a short-term option or as part of a longer-term care plan that transitions into solo walks when your puppy is ready.
Supporting your puppy’s development
A well-supported puppy becomes a confident, well-adjusted adult dog. Early positive experiences make all the difference, and puppy visits are a simple way to set your dog up for a happy, balanced life.
