Dog Walking and Pet Sitting offered in Finchley and surrounding areas
Derek is based in North Finchley, and due to the unique nature of his one to one walks, the area he covers is fairly small. This is because Derek operates entirely on foot with no cars or vans. This ensures that I do not stress the dog out by putting them in the back of a car or van and driving to places such as Trent Park. After all why would I when we have some fantastic areas on our doorstep?
It also means that’s dogs are not in the back of hot cars or vans whilst we are stuck in traffic for ages or trying to find parking
Your dog will never spend any time in a car and the entire walk will be spent by actual walking. If you are unsure if your area is covered, then get in touch
North Finchley – N12
This is Derek’s current home, so he covers all the N12 area for dog walking and pet care services such as cat sitting.
North Finchley has some great dog walking areas such as Coppets wood and The Gleblands, along with Dollis Brook (which is great for the summer)
Finchley Central – N3
This is also to close Derek’s home and so an area covered. Finchley Central benefits from places like Victoria Park and Dollis Brook.
East Finchley – N2
I probably spend most of the day around East Finchley and love walking in Cherry Tree Woods. Cherry tree woods also have a great dog-friendly café where you can stop for a coffee, and a cake and the dog can have a biscuit or two.
Another great place to walk if I have the time is Highgate woods. This is a managed coppiced woodland with lots of paths to jazz up your walk and again a dog-friendly café on the edge of Muswell Hill, East Finchley and Highgate.
Muswell Hill – N10
It is important to note that whilst I cover Muswell Hill for dog walking, it is more the Finchley and Friern Barnet side. However, I do travel to wood green for house sitting.
A great place on the borders of Muswell Hill and East Finchley for sog walking is coldfall woods.

I am fully First Aid Trained in both Animal (ProTraining) and Human (Scouts) along with having done safety and safeguarding course
Having first aid training means I can give Emergency Aid to help make the animal (or indeed humans ) conmfortable until professional help arrives
