Table of contents

Solo dog-walking prices

All dog walks are one-to-one or limited to compatible dogs from the same household.

I do not mix dogs from different homes or use cars and vans for collection rounds.

Walks start and finish at your dog’s home and take place locally on foot.

30-minute solo dog walk: £18

A shorter walk may suit:

  • Senior dogs
  • Dogs with restricted exercise
  • Dogs who need a toilet and sniff walk
  • Dogs building confidence
  • Dogs who become overwhelmed outside
  • Dogs whose normal routine does not require a full hour

The walk remains individual and adapted to your dog. It is not half of a group walk.

60-minute solo dog walk: £25

This is my standard longer walking option.

The hour may include:

  • Local walking
  • Sniffing
  • Appropriate enrichment
  • Short pauses
  • Confidence-building
  • A pace suited to your dog
  • A brief update where agreed

I do not judge a walk by the number of miles covered. The aim is to provide a useful experience for the individual dog.

One-to-One Dog Training Support

Practical, reward-based support for everyday skills including recall, loose-lead walking, engagement, puppy foundations and confidence-building.

Sessions can also help if you’ve already attended training classes or are working with a trainer or behaviourist and would like some extra support putting the exercises you’ve been given into practice.

Private sessions can use an indoor hall, enclosed garden and small woodland area at a venue in N6, close to East Finchley and Highgate.

Initial One-to-One Training Support

75 minutes – £60

Your first session gives us time to discuss what you’re finding difficult, observe your dog, agree a small number of priorities and start practising together.

Follow-Up Training Support

60 minutes – £55

For continuing to practise, progressing skills and gradually introducing more challenging environments where appropriate.

Three Follow-Up Sessions

3 × 60 minutes – £150

For owners who would like ongoing support and time to practise between sessions.

Rescue, nervous and reactive dog support price

Focused support walk, up to 60 minutes: £30

This service is for dogs who need more time, planning, distance or support than a standard walk.

It may suit dogs who:

  • Have recently been adopted
  • Are nervous outdoors
  • Bark or lunge at dogs, people or traffic
  • Freeze or refuse to walk
  • Become overwhelmed in busy places
  • Need quieter routes
  • Require slower introductions
  • Need more observation and feedback

The booked time may include calm preparation, a manageable local walk, route changes, decompression, indoor enrichment and an update.

It does not guarantee that your dog will walk continuously for the full hour or cover a particular distance.

This is practical walking and routine support rather than a formal dog-training or clinical behaviour service.

  • Existing support arrangements

See what may be included in a bespoke New Puppy Support Package.

Evening pet-sitting prices

Evening pet-sitting is suitable when your pet needs someone to remain in the home while you attend a meal, event, theatre trip, or other evening commitment.

Up to two hours: £35

Up to four hours: £55

Each additional hour: £15

Agreed finish after 11 pm: £10 extra

  • Fresh water
  • A local dog walk
  • Toilet breaks
  • Calm companionship
  • Play or enrichment
  • Agreed medication
  • Following the normal evening routine
  • Helping your pet settle

Evening sitting does not automatically include an overnight stay.

Bookings expected to continue beyond midnight must be discussed in advance and may need to be arranged as late-night or overnight house sitting.

House-sitting prices

House sitting allows your pets to remain in their own home while you are away.

It can be particularly suitable for:

  • Rescue dogs
  • Nervous or reactive dogs
  • Senior pets
  • Dogs who dislike boarding
  • Cats
  • Multi-pet households
  • Pets who rely heavily on familiar routines

Overnight house sitting: £60 per night

This includes an overnight stay and care built around the routine agreed before the booking.

Depending on your pets, this may include:

  • Feeding
  • Fresh water
  • Local dog walks
  • Toilet breaks
  • Agreed medication
  • Companionship
  • Normal sleeping arrangements
  • Agreed basic home checks
  • Regular updates

Standard overnight house sitting does not mean I remain inside the property continuously throughout every day.

Normal daytime absences and your pet’s ability to be left will be discussed before the booking.

Continuous house sitting: £100 per night

This applies where a dog cannot be left for normal daytime periods, and I must remain with the pet continuously.

Please be honest about how long your dog can comfortably and safely be left.

Continuous care limits my ability to:

  • Visit other clients
  • Shop
  • Attend appointments
  • Carry out ordinary activities away from the property

That is why it has a higher price than normal overnight house sitting.

House-sitting reservation payment: £50

A £50 reservation payment is required to secure a house-sitting booking.

This forms part of the total price. It is not an additional fee.

The £50 is deducted from the final balance.

The remaining balance is normally due seven calendar days before the booking begins unless another arrangement has been confirmed in writing.

Read my Policies and Professional Standards

Rabbit, guinea-pig and small-animal prices

Small-animal care follows my normal visit prices:

  • One visit: £15
  • Two visits in one day: £25

Care may include:

  • Feeding according to written instructions
  • Fresh water
  • Hay
  • Basic enclosure care
  • Simple litter or bedding care
  • General welfare observations
  • Following the agreed routine
  • An update and photograph

More involved routines or several enclosures may require additional booked time.

I will be honest if specialist medical, husbandry or species-specific care falls outside my experience.

Before arranging care, use my Guinea Pig Holiday Care Guide to prepare feeding instructions, water checks, cleaning supplies, veterinary details and a suitable emergency plan.

Hot-weather dog comfort visits

There are times when a normal dog walk is not the safest option.

Up to 30 minutes: £18

Up to 60 minutes: £25

A hot-weather comfort visit may include:

  • A brief toilet opportunity
  • Fresh drinking water
  • Calm indoor enrichment
  • A simple scent activity
  • Preparing an owner-supplied Kong or LickiMat
  • Feeding or agreed medication
  • Closing agreed curtains
  • Quiet companionship
  • A general comfort check
  • A photograph and update

Where a comfort visit replaces a regular booked walk, and I provide meaningful alternative care for the booked period, the normal booked walk price applies.

Where I decide that no safe or meaningful service can be provided, an unprovided service is not charged.

Pet-care and holiday home add-ons

  • Watering more plants
  • Watering outdoor pots or containers

Christmas and New Year charges

An additional £10 applies to services provided on:

  • Christmas Day, 25 December
  • New Year’s Day, 1 January

For house sitting, the charge applies once for each relevant calendar day included in the booking.

The surcharge will be included in your quote before the booking is confirmed.

Do I charge for every additional pet?

No.

I do not automatically add a separate fee because there is a second cat, dog or small animal in the household.

The important question is whether I can care for all the pets properly within the booked time.

Extra time may be required where there are:

  • Several feeding areas
  • Multiple litter trays
  • Different diets
  • Several enclosures
  • Pets who must remain separate
  • More complicated medication
  • Lengthy cleaning routines
  • Several species with different requirements

I will discuss this with you before confirming the booking.

Medication and more involved care

Medication support may be available where:

  • It is discussed before booking
  • Clear written instructions are provided
  • The medication is properly labelled
  • The procedure is within my competence
  • It can be provided safely

I do not automatically charge more simply because medication is required.

Additional time may be charged where the routine is more involved.

I am not a veterinary surgeon and do not diagnose illness, change doses or alter veterinary instructions.

What can affect the final price?

The final price may change where:

  • Several pets have different routines
  • Additional time is required
  • Medication is more involved
  • Continuous supervision is needed
  • Care is requested outside the normal service pattern
  • Extensive plant watering is requested
  • A standalone home check has a lengthy routine
  • A readiness visit requires extra time
  • The booking includes Christmas Day or New Year’s Day

Any variation will be discussed before the booking is accepted.

You will not receive an unexpected additional charge after the service.
