Clear prices for calm, one-to-one pet care
You should not have to hunt around a website to find out roughly what pet care costs.
So I try to keep my prices straightforward.
I provide one-to-one dog walking and in-home pet care across Finchley, Muswell Hill and nearby parts of North London.
There are no group walks.
No van collections.
No cars used to pick up several dogs.
I work locally and care for one household at a time.

Solo one-to-one dog walking prices
All my dog walks are one-to-one.
I do not collect several dogs.
I do not use a van.
Your dog’s walk starts and finishes at their home and takes place locally on foot.
30-minute solo dog walk: £18
A shorter walk can suit:
- older dogs
- dogs who prefer a slower pace
- dogs who need a toilet and sniff walk
- dogs building confidence
- dogs whose routine does not require a full hour
- some dogs during warmer weather, where conditions remain suitable
The walk is still one-to-one and adjusted to your dog.
It is not half of a group walk.
60-minute solo dog walk: £25
This is my standard longer one-to-one walking option.
The route, pace and amount of sniffing depend on your dog.
Some dogs enjoy a steady walk through Coldfall Wood, Cherry Tree Wood or another suitable local green space.
Others need quieter streets and more distance from dogs or people.
I do not measure a good walk by the number of miles covered.
The aim is a useful walk for the dog in front of me.
Every solo walk can include:
- one-to-one care
- collection from and return to your home
- a locally chosen route
- a pace suited to your dog
- sniffing and enrichment where appropriate
- fresh water topped up on return where needed
- secure lock-up
- an update where agreed

Rescue, nervous and reactive dog support prices
Focused 60-minute support walk: £30
This service is for dogs who may need more time, distance, patience or structure than a standard walk.
That may include dogs who:
- are newly rescued
- are nervous outdoors
- bark or lunge at other dogs
- freeze on walks
- find traffic difficult
- become overwhelmed in busy places
- need confidence built gradually
- do not cope with group walking
This is practical day-to-day support.
It is not a formal dog-training session.
I am not a clinical behaviourist.
Depending on your dog, I may use quieter routes, additional distance from triggers, sniffing, decompression, and calm, reward-based confidence-building.
A first walk may not involve travelling very far.
That is fine.
I would rather give a nervous dog a manageable experience than force them around a route simply because an hour has been booked.

Pet visits and home visits
Single visit: £15
Two visits in one day: £25
My home-visit prices cover many of the pets I care for, including:
- cats
- puppies
- rabbits
- guinea pigs
- hamsters
- other suitable small pets
- dogs who need home-based care rather than a full walk
What is included depends on the animal and the routine you have asked me to follow.
A normal visit may include:
- feeding
- fresh water
- litter tray care
- basic small-animal enclosure care
- toilet opportunities
- calm company
- gentle play or enrichment
- medication support where agreed and within my competence
- general welfare observations
- an update and photograph where appropriate
A few small practical home tasks can often be included where they take only a few minutes and do not reduce the time needed to care for your pet.
This may include:
- bringing in post
- moving a small delivery inside
- putting out or bringing in one household bin
- opening or closing agreed curtains
- switching agreed lights on or off
- a simple visual check for an obvious household problem
- watering a few indoor plants
Your pet’s care comes first.
If additional jobs require more time, you can add extra time to the visit.

Cat-sitting prices
My cat-sitting visits follow my normal home-visit prices.
Single cat visit: £15
Two cat visits in one day: £25
Cat care can include:
- feeding
- refreshing drinking water
- litter tray care
- medication support where agreed
- play or enrichment
- quiet company if your cat wants it
- general welfare observations
- an update and photograph where appropriate
I do not force cats to interact.
Some cats are waiting for me when I arrive.
Others prefer to watch from a distance.
I work at the cat’s pace.
During warmer weather, I also pay attention to water intake, food intake, the rooms your cat chooses to use, and changes in normal behaviour.

House-sitting prices
House sitting allows your pet to stay in their own home while you are away.
This can be particularly useful for:
- rescue dogs
- nervous dogs
- reactive dogs
- senior pets
- dogs who dislike boarding
- multi-pet households
- pets who rely heavily on routine
Overnight house sitting: £60 per night
This includes an overnight stay in your home and care built around the routine agreed before the booking.
Depending on your pets, this may include:
- feeding
- fresh water
- local dog walks
- toilet breaks
- agreed medication support
- companionship
- following normal sleeping arrangements
- agreed basic home checks
- regular updates
Please discuss your normal routine with me before booking.
Full-time house sitting: £100 per night
This applies where a dog cannot be left alone, and I need to remain with the pet on a full-time basis.
Please be honest about how long your dog can be left comfortably and safely.
A dog who cannot be left alone requires a very different booking to a dog who is comfortable while I go to another pet visit or carry out normal daily activities.
£50 house-sitting reservation payment
A £50 reservation payment is required to secure a house-sitting booking.
This forms part of the total booking price.
It is not an additional £50 fee.
The £50 is deducted from the final balance.
The remaining balance is normally due seven calendar days before the house sit begins unless another arrangement has been agreed in writing.

Christmas Day and New Year’s Day
An additional £10 applies to services provided on:
- Christmas Day, 25 December
- New Year’s Day, 1 January
For house-sitting, the additional charge applies once per relevant calendar day included in the booking.
The surcharge will be shown in your quote before the booking is confirmed.

Puppy visit prices
Puppy visit or short puppy walk, up to 30 minutes: £15
Puppies often need shorter and calmer support than adult dogs.
A puppy visit may include:
- a toilet opportunity
- feeding
- fresh water
- cleaning up a small accident
- gentle play
- simple enrichment
- short reward-based routine practice
- lead or harness familiarity
- calm company
- a photograph and update
These are not formal puppy-training lessons.
I can support and reinforce the calm, reward-based routines you are already using at home.
Once your puppy is old enough and your vet is happy for them to go outside, a short one-to-one puppy walk may also be suitable.
Puppy care package: price on request
Some puppies need a more individual routine or a series of visits.
Where appropriate, I can discuss a custom puppy-care plan based on:
- age
- routine
- number of visits
- feeding
- toilet needs
- your puppy’s confidence
- the support you already have in place
I will agree the price with you before booking.

Rabbit, guinea pig and small-animal visit prices
Small-animal visits follow my normal home-visit prices.
Single visit: £15
Two visits in one day: £25
I can provide care for rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, and other small pets, provided the routine and care required are within my experience and agreed in advance.
Care may include:
- feeding according to your written instructions
- changing or topping up fresh water
- basic enclosure care
- simple litter or bedding care
- general welfare observations
- following the agreed routine
- an update and photograph where appropriate
If your pet has specialist medical, husbandry or species-specific needs outside my experience, I will be honest about that.
Several pets or more involved routines may require additional time.
I will discuss this with you before confirming the booking.

Hot-weather dog comfort visit prices
There are days when a normal dog walk is not the safest option.
When conditions are unsuitable for your dog, I may be able to provide calm alternative care instead.
Hot-weather comfort visit, up to 30 minutes: £18
Hot-weather comfort visit, up to 60 minutes: £25
Depending on your dog and the conditions, a comfort visit can include:
- a brief toilet opportunity in a secure garden or nearest suitable area
- fresh drinking water
- calm indoor enrichment
- a simple treat search or scent game
- an owner-supplied Kong or LickiMat prepared
- quiet company
- feeding or agreed medication
- closing agreed curtains to reduce direct sunlight
- checking your dog’s general comfort
- a photograph and update
This is not intended to be a strenuous indoor workout.
The focus is on calm care, hydration, toileting, companionship, and appropriate mental stimulation.
What happens to the price if my normal walk is adapted?
Where a hot-weather comfort visit replaces a regular booked dog walk, and I provide meaningful alternative care for the booked period, the normal booked walk price applies.
For example, a booked walk may become a short toilet opportunity followed by water, scent work, enrichment and calm company.
If I decide I cannot safely provide the service and no meaningful alternative care is supplied, the unprovided service is not charged.

Pet-care and holiday home add-on prices
I do not charge separately for every tiny household job.
A few small tasks may fit within your normal pet visit and take only a few minutes.
Where extra time is genuinely needed, you can add:
Additional 15 minutes: £6
Additional 30 minutes: £12
Extra time may be useful for:
- watering more plants (at owners’ own risk)
- watering outdoor pots and containers
- preparing several enrichment toys
- caring for several pets with different routines
- cleaning multiple litter trays
- more involved feeding arrangements
- additional companionship for an older or nervous pet
- return-home preparation
Any additional charges are agreed upon before the booking.

Plant watering prices
A small amount of indoor plant watering may fit within a normal pet visit.
Where more time is needed:
Additional 15 minutes added to a pet visit: £6
Additional 30 minutes added to a pet visit: £12
I may be able to water:
- indoor plants
- outdoor pots
- hanging baskets
- containers
Larger gardens or complicated watering routines are priced individually.
You must provide a working hose or suitable watering cans, along with clear instructions.
I do not provide general gardening, lawn mowing, hedge cutting, pruning or plant treatment.
Plant watering is provided on a reasonable-care basis.
I cannot guarantee the condition or survival of individual plants.
Standalone home or garden check prices
You do not always need to have a pet to ask about a local home check.
Subject to location and my existing route:
Standalone home or garden check, up to 30 minutes: £18
Standalone home or garden check, up to 60 minutes: £30
A visit can include agreed practical tasks such as:
- bringing in post
- moving a visible delivery inside
- opening or closing agreed curtains
- switching agreed lights on or off
- putting bins out or bringing them back
- looking for obvious leaks or visible water damage
- checking whether a fridge or freezer appears to have power
- watering agreed plants
- sending you an update and photograph
This is a visual home check.
It is not:
- a security patrol
- a professional security survey
- property management
- a gardening service
- domestic cleaning
- building maintenance
- an emergency repair service
Standalone checks depend on my location and availability.
I work locally and on foot, so I will be honest if a booking falls outside my normal service area or route.

Pet and Home Readiness Visit prices
My Pet and Home Readiness Visit is for households that want a practical review before something changes.
That might be:
- bringing home a rescue dog
- preparing for a puppy
- arranging a pet sitter
- going away
- caring for an older pet
- managing medication or several pet routines
- thinking about doors, gates or escape risks
- trying to put emergency information in one place
Standard Pet and Home Readiness Visit: £75 per household
The standard service includes:
- a short pre-visit information form
- up to 60 minutes in your home
- a practical review of your pet’s routine and home environment
- discussion of access, escape risks and emergency arrangements
- a personalised written checklist
- clear priorities for anything that may need attention
- links to reliable animal-welfare information
- recommendations for suitable specialist help where something falls outside my role
- a blank Pet Emergency Information Sheet
The £75 price is per household, not per pet.
Optional personalised emergency information pack: £25
I can also prepare a personalised emergency information pack based on the information you provide.
Additional 30 minutes: £25
Additional time may be useful for:
- several pets with different routines
- more complicated feeding arrangements
- multiple medications
- a larger property
- more detailed care or emergency arrangements
This service is not a veterinary assessment, behaviour consultation, training session or professional security survey.

Do you charge for every additional pet?
No.
I do not automatically add a charge simply because there is a second cat or another small pet in the home.
The question is whether I can properly care for all your pets within the booked time.
Additional time may be needed where there are:
- several feeding areas
- multiple litter trays
- several enclosures
- pets who must be kept separate
- different diets
- complicated medication routines
- lengthy cleaning routines
- several species with different needs
I will ask about this before confirming the booking.
If extra time is needed, I will let you know and agree on the price with you first.
Medication and more involved care
Medication support may be available where:
- the medication has been discussed in advance
- you provide clear instructions
- the care is within my competence
- I can safely provide the medication
- the booking fits my insurance and service conditions
Please tell me about medication when you first enquire.
Some medication routines or more complicated care may require additional time.
I am not a vet.
I will not make medical decisions or change veterinary instructions.
What can affect the final price?
Most of my prices are straightforward.
The final price may change where:
- several pets need different routines
- additional time is required
- more complicated medication support is involved
- care is requested outside my normal service pattern
- a large number of plants or containers need watering
- a home or garden check involves a more detailed routine
- additional time is needed for a Pet and Home Readiness Visit
- the booking includes Christmas Day or New Year’s Day
I will discuss any additional price before the booking is confirmed.
I do not want you to receive a surprise charge afterwards.
Which service is right for my pet?
Choose a solo dog walk if your dog:
- needs regular one-to-one exercise
- does not enjoy group walks
- prefers a quieter pace
- needs the walk to start from home
Ask about rescue, nervous and reactive dog support if your dog:
- is newly rescued
- is nervous outdoors
- reacts to dogs, people or traffic
- freezes or becomes overwhelmed
- needs more time and space
Choose house sitting if your pet:
- is happiest at home
- does not cope well with boarding
- relies heavily on routine

Frequently asked questions about my prices
Are your dog walks group walks?
No.
All my dog walks are one-to-one.
Is the £25 two-visit price £25 per visit?
No.
£25 is the price for two standard visits in the same day.
Do you charge extra for a second cat?
Not automatically.
If all pets can be properly cared for during the booked visit, the normal visit price may still apply.
Additional time may be needed for more complicated multi-pet routines.
Do you charge extra for medication?
Not automatically.
Medication must be agreed in advance and be within my competence.
Additional time may be charged where a routine is more involved.
What is full-time house sitting?
This is for a dog that cannot be left alone and requires me to remain with them on a full-time basis.
It is £100 per night.

Standalone home or garden checks are available subject to location, my existing route and availability and my plant policy
Are your prices negotiable?
My published prices reflect the one-to-one time and care involved.
Where you need something different, I am happy to discuss the routine and tell you what I can realistically offer.
Can I see your cancellation policy before booking?
Yes.

I do not fill a van and walk a large group.
I focus on one dog or one household at a time.
That means the service can be adjusted around the pet in front of me.
A nervous dog may need a slower walk.
A senior dog may need more sniffing and less distance.
A cat may want me to leave them alone after I have checked their food, water and litter.
A hot day may mean changing a booked walk into calm alternative care.
The price is for my time, attention and the agreed care I provide.
