Professional training backed by real-world experience.
I started Finchley Dog Walker because I love rescues and believe your dog deserves the best care.
This is why I have invested in my training and professional development.
Here’s how I make sure your dog is in safe hands.
Fully Insured and DBS Checked
You need to know you can trust the person walking your dog.
I hold full public liability insurance, designed for dog walkers and pet carers.
I also have an enhanced DBS check for your peace of mind.
Copies of both are available to view on request.
Canine First Aid Qualified
Accidents can happen. Being prepared matters.
Since starting in 2011, I have always made sure my canine first aid course is up to date, whether it be the Dog Training Online Course as a refresher of the OFQUAL Level 3 first aid course I completed in 2024 with Rachel Bean. These courses allow me to update my knowledge regularly, so I know how to stay calm and act quickly.
Knowing first aid can mean the difference between panic and protection.
As a bonus, I also do a regular 6-hour first response course with the scouts every 3 years (there is a lot of overlap)
Ongoing Learning and Professional Development
I never stop learning because dogs never stop teaching.
Recent courses I have completed include:
- Understanding Canine Body Language
- Managing Reactive Dogs
- Enrichment Activities for Dogs
- Building Confidence in Dogs
- Talk to the dog with the extra dog
- IMDT Thoughtful Enrichment
I stay updated with new research and better ways to work with dogs.
It helps me to spot the minor signs others might miss.
Hands-on Experience
Before COVID, I spent over five years as a Tip Top Dog School class assistant.
During that time, I supported trainers and owners with various dogs, from playful puppies to older dogs needing confidence.
Working in a busy class taught me how different dogs learn and how to help them succeed.
It also showed me that patience, timing, and clear communication are vital.

Experience with Dogs
I have loved dogs all my life.
Walking, training, and supporting them is what I do every day.
I work with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities.
From bouncy puppies to nervous rescues, I meet each dog where they are.
I use positive, reward-based methods because trust matters.
No lead jerking. No shouting. No pushing dogs beyond what they can handle.
